ABOUT ME

Economics-trained, self-taught in code, driven by data.

I'm Karabo Clement Sishuba, a junior web developer and data analyst based in the Free State, South Africa. I like turning messy, real-world data into decisions people can actually act on — and building the interfaces that put those decisions in front of them.

My Story

My path here started in Economics, not code. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of the Free State, where coursework in statistics and records systems gave me an early appetite for structured data and the stories hiding inside it. From there, I taught myself web development from the ground up : HTML, CSS, JavaScript — because I wanted the ability to actually build the tools that data insights get delivered through, not just hand off a spreadsheet and hope for the best.

Along the way I've worked in roles that don't sound like "data analyst" on paper — coordinating communications and media for a foundation, managing sensitive learner records and exam logistics for a school — but every one of them came down to the same thing: keeping information accurate, organized, and usable under real deadlines. That operational grounding is part of what I bring to analysis work now.

What I Focus On

Data Analysis

Cleaning, modeling, and visualizing data with R, SQL, Excel, and Tableau — turning raw tables into findings someone can actually make a decision with.

Web Development

Building responsive, functional interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, backed by MySQL and PostgreSQL where the front end needs real data behind it.

Economic & Statistical Thinking

A background in regression, hypothesis testing, and economic modeling that shapes how I frame a problem before I ever open a notebook or an editor.

Let's Connect

I'm always open to conversations about data projects, web builds, or opportunities where the two overlap. Have a look at my projects or my resume, or reach me directly.
